Grey clouds ride
on hooves of thunder
sheets of rain
cover early morn
yet daylight prevails
on the breath of dawn
as today's wind
rustles once silent leaves
of the Mvule tree
on the side of a hill
laying claim to peace
in the solace
of a life denied
